Automated Violation Detection

Safer drivers.
Safer streets.

Videx sees what you see. It reviews dashcam footage automatically — detecting traffic violations, reading license plates, and generating structured reports.

Real footage from confirmed violations — license plates blurred.

What Videx does

Helping to make roads safer

Every mile, reviewed

Enforcement can't be on every road at every hour. Videx watches footage continuously, at a volume no patrol shift can cover.

Structured evidence

Not just a clip — a classified violation, a timestamp, a confidence score, and a plate. Ready for a human to verify in seconds.

Closing the information gap

Risk is priced today with almost no visibility into how someone actually drives. Videx gives that visibility a source.

The pipeline

From footage to evidence, four steps

01

Capture

Dashcam footage is ingested and segmented, with each vehicle followed as a continuous track across frames.

02

Detect

Computer vision flags movements consistent with a violation — illegal lane changes, blocked crosswalks, unsafe maneuvers.

03

Confirm

Flagged tracks are cross-checked frame by frame, and the offending vehicle's license plate is read automatically.

04

Report

A structured report is generated: violation type, timestamp, confidence, and plate — ready to review or export.

A flagged violation

What the system actually catches

Videx violation reports dashboard showing a list of flagged violations and a detail panel for a confirmed blocked crosswalk case.

Sample dashboard shown with illustrative data — not real cases.

Every flagged case keeps its full context — the clip, the exact timestamp and location, and a confidence score — so a reviewer can confirm it at a glance instead of scrubbing through raw footage.

License plates are redacted in anything shared outside a confirmed report, and only surfaced in full where a violation has actually been confirmed.

Why Videx

Too many people drive dangerously without regard for others and with police enforcement nowhere in sight. Car accidents are one of the leading causes of death and the financial costs of those accidents get spread across everyone's insurance premiums. We've outsourced road safety to insurance companies — armed with only a fraction of the information needed to judge real risk. Videx closes that gap, surfacing what any driver can already see with their own eyes: the cars that endanger everyone else on the road.
